A nano emulsion is one in which the phase (that is in suspension (emulsified)- usually an oily mix in a water base) is so small in size that these particles are in the nanometre size range (10 to the -12 of a meter) . The use fullness of this very small particle size is that it can zip though between the molecules that hold our skin together and get to the underlying structures of the skin without going through a diffusion or transport process.
