Okay..I'm not buying all my products from ebay...but recently i've been seeing a few good deals on ebay (mydailycosmetics.com) and I want to know if anyone has bought from there. Yes, I buy a majority of my M.A.C. items there as well as some others, mainly because A. you can find good deals there, and B. some items may not be available in your area.
If you look at a seller's rep and always read the feedback. If they are a power seller, chances are they are legit and will not scam you. ALWAYS use PayPal, they have a buyer protection program with eBay, and if you are by chance scammed, you are covered and can file a dispute.
I have been on eBay for almost a year buying, and I have never once not received an item. It's really your own discretion. I personally would not buy something from someone with a lower feedback score then 96% (of course depending on what those negatives were), but that's just me.
All cosmetics purchased on eBay MUST be brand new, as standard with eBay's health and beauty policy.
I would advise you however, if you are looking to buy high end brands such as M.A.C, only do so from power sellers or ones that have been on eBay for a while. And NEVER buy from anywhere but the USA or Canada. I can tell you now anything from Thailand or China will be counterfiet. Has anyone bought cosmetics from Ebay (READ DETAILS)?
Yes, absolutely! bought some mineral make up last month. I got a great deal, and the buyer had a very reasonable shipping rate. I received it within a few days, and had no problems what so ever.
I think you should check out the seller's feedback before bidding and buying an item from them. If they sell a good amount and have only happy customers, you should know there is a high percentage that you will also be happy.

The best way to slow down the ageing process in your skin is to use sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 every single day. UVA/B radiation damages your skin more than anything else. When you look at an old person, their skin doesn't look old because it is old, it looks old because it has been exposed to UVA/B radiation for years.
Most high end cosmetics are a total waste of money, so I wouldn't bother. None of them are capable of reducing ageing in any way; have you ever heard of a plastic surgeon being put out of business because of a fancy new moisturiser?

Personally, i don't think they should. I don't really believe women should either. What is the purpose? To make people believe you are more attractive than you really are? So many people don't know how to wear it right anyway, a woman i used to work with must have bought her foundation during the winter, because it looked like she was wearing a mask a few shades lighter than her tan. As much as i love mac makeup i really suggest not buying their foundations, they have a very orange undertone to them and they give u awful tide lines no matter how much u blend. Their eyeshadows etc are great nad even their concealers are good they have good coverage without the oranginess, the assistants also tend to wear the wrong shade as well so they are really not good by example. My recommendation is to go to clinique, their foundations are great on the skin i have the same skin type as u they have so many shades u cant go wrong and they ghive a lovelt glow to the skn and last ages. Ur best bet it the superbalance their best seller, the assistants are very knowledgeable and u can follow their example on foundation.
I use the Mac studio fix fluid, I saved myself some money and went to rite aid and bought N.Y.C. translucent powder and set it with that. It last all day and looks quite matte, the translucent powder is only $2 and works really well. The people at the mac counter will try and sell you their own powder but its not worth the price seeing as to how the foundation cost around $25. Good luck love!

My teeth are in good shape with the exception that I have a approx. 1/4 inch gap in my upper 2 front teeth. I want to have cosmetic dentistry done, but I am a little nervous about the durability over time, and the after product. A simple treatment that works sometimes is to add just a little bit of bonding in between the teeth the get them to touch each other, but you have to be careful that the teeth don't look too fat afterwards. With this bonding treatment if you don't like it, you can remove it without hurting your own tooth enamel.

i was just wondering what the requirements are for m.a.c employees. Like i see all of them wearing black with alot of makeup. Is the makeup required and stuff?M.a.c cosmetics?
My sister works for them. You do have to wear all black. And from what she told me it has to be solid black...no pinstripes, adornments or anything else in other colors.
As far as he makeup...they usually have to wear whatever is current and will often have to wear a certain look that they are promoting.
On the other hand she gets an amazing discount and lots of free training and goodies. Mac has done amazing things for her freelance career too. She gets great jobs through them and has created a name for herself in her city.
She has worked for them for over 10 years and says the company has changed recently..so I dont know if the discounts are as good as they used to be, but I do know she loves it there.M.a.c cosmetics?

An eyeliner was discontinued in 2002. I found 1 still sealed %26amp; unopened. Is it safe to buy %26amp; use it or is it expired? I want to surprise my mom for Christmas but I'm not sure it is safe. It wasn't like it was causing her health problems, it was just something she was very insecure about and wanted fixed. Unfortunately, her story had a sad ending.

If someone seriously needs it and it hurts their self-esteem to the point they don't want to do anything, then it's understandable. But it seems so fake and weird. I just don't know many people who would like to date someone they know has had plastic surgery and they are seen as fake. Breast surgery is understandable after you have a lot of kids or lose a bunch of weight, but other then that, I think it's gross.

The cosmetics companies that state, ';not tested on animal,'; then what do they test on? Humans...? Nothing? How do they know if the products are safe?

In Surah an-Nur (The Light) Verse 31: '; And say to the believing women (mu'minat) to lower their gaze and safeguard their modesty/morality/dignity (furuujahunna)and do not reveal their embelishments/jewellery/accessories (ziinatahunna), except what is naturally(liyu'ulatihinna) seen from it, and to lower their shawls/scarves down their necks. Do not reveal your embelishments/jewellery/accessories (ziinatahunna), except to your husbannds... or children who are yet to develop their sexual desires. to an extent pretty much the majority of cheap cosmetics are ';potentiallly harmful'; in the long run chemicals such as talc/talcum and paraben properties are both potentially cancerous.
It's very controversial as to whether they actually do cause cancer because..studies have shown that those properties DO cause breast/ovarian/lung and various other cancers...but there probably isn't enough in the make up to trigger it...also, it would need to get past the skin.
However, I do not advise using those sort of cosmetics on a regular basis, for anything like foundation, eyes and lip product...try get brands you know is safe and can rely on, mainly because eyes are very sensitive areas and you dont' want chemicals in them. You don't wan to EAT any of the chemcials nor have them on your skin for a long period of time.Are ELF cosmetics harmful?

I was looking into changing my current make-up routine, and I used to Bare Minerals, but I keep having trouble covering acne. I have heard wonderful things about Bee Luscious Cosmetics, and about half a dozen other ones to though. The Bee Luscious Cosmetics look fantastic and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this product. Did you like it? What is your favorite product? Wat are the uses of nano emulsions in cosmetics ???
I am just a food chemist, not into cosmetics, but one picks up a bit...
A nano emulsion is one in which the phase (that is in suspension (emulsified)- usually an oily mix in a water base) is so small in size that these particles are in the nanometre size range (10 to the -12 of a meter) . The use fullness of this very small particle size is that it can zip though between the molecules that hold our skin together and get to the underlying structures of the skin without going through a diffusion or transport process.

They all make me break out. I have to wear mineral foundation by Bare Minerals. Its a little pricey, but its one of the few things I splurge on.
foundation: Maybelline Superstay is better in my opinion because it conceals more, looks flawless %26amp; glowing and lasts longer. Covergirl seems to fade quickly and leaves the skin bumpy where blemishes are, it also doesn't seem to make a flawless more even skintone.
Covergirl has great lipgloss though like, Wetslicks
powder: Maybelline Purepowder %26amp; expertwear are amazing products.
But...I must say I have never tried Benefit.

Covergirl and Maybelline are great for glosses and lipsticks and better yet they are both super cheap allowing for you to really play with colours and get more for your money.

My father is a plastic surgeon, so most people are surprised when I say I am against body alterations/modifications unless there is a medical need to do so.
I plan to grow old gracefully, no botox, no face lifts, because you CAN'T fight the ageing process, this is of course a losing battle.What are your views on cosmetic surgery and is it worth the risk?
Unfortunately cosmetic surgery is mainly used for people that have a mental problem which they think will go away when they have bits cut off and changed. In many cases it doesn't go away at all.
If anyone wants to I wouldn't stop them. They can spend their money on whatever they want.

MAC cosmetics to buy?
Tomorrow I'm getting my makeup done at MAC and you have to buy at minimum 50 dollars worth of products. I usually buy my makeup from MAC anyways, so its like killing two birds with one stone.

i agree. i love the fix+ it makes your face sooo smooth and perfect for putting on foundatin. also there bronzer is always great no matter what skin color you are, especially in the summer. alllsooo i they have this thing called brow set, and it comes in dfferent shades of brown depending on your brow color. i use the clear one, i wouldnt suggest the color ones. but if you have some hairs that seem to be misplaced all the time, its perfect for that. it gives yo that just waxed/plucked perfect shape look and keeps it all together

i love mac cosmetics. i like their studio fix face powder!! i would get a neutral eyeshadow, lipstick and lipgloss.....i don't know your coloring but i really like 'shroom eyeshadow which is like a ivory/beige shimmer, hug me lipstick which is just a beigy pink and enchantress lipglass which is a pearly peachy pink!! their springsheen blush is very pretty too.......

i think that for anyone they should really take into consideration how it will affect them physically and mentally. i always wished i had a flatter stomach but i felt that i would feel better if i worked out and accomplished it myself instead of going and getting lipo done. if a girl wants to get her breasts enlarged she would have to remeber than when she has children she cant breast feed anymore. i think it would be best to do it after the age of 17 anyways since womens bodies keep developing till that age.Cosmetic Surgery for teens what do you think?
I think it's awful. I knew a bunch of little rich girls in HS who got implants for their birthday because they asked their daddy.
First off, I think it's awful because you're not even done growing yet.
Secondly, I think it's WAY too much to ask for as a teenager..whatever happened to earning your own stuff?
And thirdly, I feel that the majority of teenagers, even if they can afford it on their own, are too immature to make a decision like that. Not immature in a bad way..but at that time..you are growing to be your own and plastic surgery will just give them a false sense of acceptance.
I know the different when I was a teen and now. I'm so glad I never got anything done as a teen because it would be for different reasons. Now, if I get something it might be a breast lift (so my back doesn't hurt so much) or lasik so that I can see better.
I feel like if a girl is going to get plastic surgery it's best to wait until she's around 40 and has already had kids. I say this because if you get it young you have to get readjusted again later on because gravity doesn't just stop! ;)
I know this personally b/c my stepmom got boobs and she had to get them fixed twice over the course of 15 years...yuck.
PLus, my mom had an A cup before she had my sister and I..now she has a C+ cup..and they are perky! Me, on the other hand, I have a D cup so they are already sagging.
Smaller chested girls are too self concious and don't realize they are actually really the lucky ones. Their boobs stay perky and I swear it looks like they got a booby job after they have kids..b/c they fill out and it's all still perky. :-D
I don't think teenage plastic surgery should be allowed....UNLESS the teen can pass a psychological test. However, it's none of my business what someone else wants to do with their life so I wouldn't try to pass a law against it or anything.

Maybelline Great Last Mascara is the only mascara I'll use!
All of my drugstore cosmetics are Maybelline. They are reasonable and really do the job.
L'Oreal Lash Out mascara in Carbon Black. Other than that I don't do a lot of makeup.

Maybelline Great Last Mascara is the only mascara I'll use!
All of my drugstore cosmetics are Maybelline. They are reasonable and really do the job.
L'Oreal Lash Out mascara in Carbon Black. Other than that I don't do a lot of makeup.

I think that people should be happy with their body or attempt to fix it before opting for surgery. Sometimes the need for surgery is psychological while others are to replace bad habits. (Minor cosmetic changes that make very little difference or liposuction for example). In these cases, the problem is still there and never fixed by the surgery.
Now, other cosmetic surgery is not merely cosmetic. This can include surgery to fix scars, severely broken noses, severe teeth corrections ...etc.
Plastic surgents are not as highly regulated as people should hope. Some are crooked doctors while others have very little experience. I hear that doctors can perform plastic surgery without proper schooling. Because of this, plastic surgery is very risky.

Actually, Bare Escentuals is the maker of Bare Minerals and as a user of the product, I absolutely LOVE it!!!!! It seems to never run out because it is pure minerals - no fillers or any fake stuff. Because it is pure, you only need to use a tiny bit for incredible coverage (plus it looks very natural!!!)
Since you're new to it, I would begin with the Starter Kit - it comes in different shades for different skin tones. Each one of those comes with 2 face colors (in case you get darker in the summer), a bronzer to use on cheeks, 2 brushes, mineral veil (which is like a photo-finishing powder - I adore this stuff), a DVD on how to use the products (which, honestly, I have never watched), and a how-to booklet. I think it retails for about $60 and it is totally worth it!!!Mineral Cosmetics. Which is best?

I have tried bare minerals, sheer cover, covergirl (yuck), loreal (yuck), aromaleigh and milani. I love bare minerals, sheer cover and milani. The beauty about the milani line was that you can buy it at CVS or any drug store that carries it. Now, I did not like the brush that came with the milani loose powder, but i also got the mineral pressed powder, which comes with this nice soft velvety puff. That made my skin luminous and you cannot even see my pores (which is good 'cause I'm 42). Now, it also covered the acne I sometimes get (mother nature is cruel wrinkles and zits at the same time). Any way, people tell me my skin looks great, and they can't believe I don't wear makeup. Haha - if they only knew. I just smile and say thank you. Experiment, because you want to look like you, not you wearing a mask. Mineral makeup is great for this. Some will make you itch - that is a side effect of the mineral makeup if you have dry skin at all, but if your skin is oily, mineral makeup is great for that. If your skin is dry at all, be sue to wear a moisturizer, and let it soak in before you put on the powder foundation. Do not waste your money on the cover girl mineral makeup - the colors were so off, and they look like they have glitter in them, and they also add talc to them. They were horrible, and the pink covergirl mineral blush looked white on my skin - again very bad, they both went back to walmart. Thank God for savings receipts and being able to return bad products. Good Luck - and remember the cardinal rule - blend blend blend.
