Question About MAC Cosmetics? Eye Liner?

What are the pros and cons of the liner pencils and the kohl pencils? Which do you prefer?Question About MAC Cosmetics? Eye Liner?
if you can afford expensive--- MAC waterproof eyeliner.

if not, then just use jordana. its kind of long lasting.Question About MAC Cosmetics? Eye Liner?
Kohl Pencils

Pros: You dont need to sharpen it, all you have to do is roll the liner up and there you go!

Cons: You dont get as precise as you want it to be, so if you want to dry a thin lin on your upper lash line, it'll be a little harder

Liner Pencils

Pros: You can get as precise as you want!

Cons: You always have to sharpen it which is annoying

Opinion:

I use Mac's Technokohl because i have tried loads of eyeliner and mac's technokohl is one of the best, and i prefer the technokohl just because you dont have to sharpen it and still get the perfect liner you want to get. If you really dont like kohl pencils then go with Mac's powerpoint because those powerpoint liners has a creamy formula which is very easy to apply. But overall you should definately try mac's technokohl cause you won't be disappointed!
From personal experience I think it would be better to go with the nabi range of cosmetics
mac powerpoint pencil. easy to apply, highly pigmented, but expensive
Technokohl is the best. Use that!

Whats your favorite cosmetics company?

mine are Clarins,MAC,and LancomeWhats your favorite cosmetics company?
Christian Dior. Their eyeshadows are very versatile, using wet or dry. They have an anti-bacterial so that I won't have to toss my five-pan if I ever get an eye infection.

Their mascaras too fantastic for words.

Their foundations are so light on my skin, I forget I'm wearing it, and it doesn't slide off my face in the heat. And their colors match skin tones so closely, I've never seen anything like it before.

Their skin care is top notch. I've seen little old ladies come in to get a makeover. Girl puts that XR60/80 on one side of grandma's face and not the other. Literally in five minutes, grandma looks like she's had a face lift on one side of her face.

They have so many different shades and types of lipstick, I could stand at their counter all day long and pick lipsticks, and they don't fade off like Chanel or Lancome. They are also way cheaper than Chanel and Lancome, and just a little more expensive then Estee Lauder.

And then, of course, there's J'adore . . . need I say more?Whats your favorite cosmetics company?
MAC AND PRESCRIPTIVES
MAC for sure.
MAC from macys
Smashbox or Philosophy. (no animal testing)

I do object, however, to the general idea that women are born physically imperfect and must spend money to improve themselves.

Self-decoration should be artistic, not desperate.

MAC. It's the best stuff out there.
MAC for sure
MAC, Clarins and philosophy. Once in awhile I use clinique.
MAC if i feel like using a lot of money,

but NYC's makeup line is amazing. everything they have is from 1-5 dollars!!!
As I professional comsetologist/makeup artist, I suggest using Clinque for facial makeup considering their products are very light and sheer. I also recommend Lancome and Estee Lauder for their great line of eyeliners and cheek colours since they are have more natural/mattee colours. And I suggest MAC for a glamourized look.

  • MAC or Nars Cosmetics?

I can't choose which I should start my makeup kit with.MAC or Nars Cosmetics?
MAC- but only if you have perfect skin, because it can be heavy on acne prone skin.

Nars- its mostly organic, and very light, works with most skin, especially oily.

so decide based off thatMAC or Nars Cosmetics?
I would pick MAC because its less expensive than nars and is still good quality. However, don't purchase foundation or mascara from MAC. its not that good
Personally i like MAC i think it has more selection and choice but NARS for there quality of the product

    A great MAC cosmetics concealer?

that covers pretty much everything and makes you look flawless?

any one know?!A great MAC cosmetics concealer?
Okay this is what i do... I uses 2 type of concealers, I uses a concealer stick for my dark circle...and concealer pencil for my acne and scars...

So, I would use the concealer stick and lightly dab 3 dots under my eyes and using my finger I'll slowly blend them...Then I'll apply my liquid foundation on my whole face... Which doesn't give a good coverage for my acnes and scars...

This is where i will use my pencil concealer to just lightly draw small dots to cover them... and I'll dab on them a few times to blend it in... By doing this, I'll get a very natural make up that covers only whats necessary...! without it caking up!

    Enjoy!

*Make sure your concealers and your foundation is the same tone... or it'll look really weird!

P.S. OMG!! You made a rofl irl..!! Jen G... She meant by the make up MAC and not the computer Macintosh... Silly..!A great MAC cosmetics concealer?
Studio Finish is the best. I have gone through Nars, Clinic, Chanel, every brand possible yet nothing gets the job done like M.A.C. Studio Finish Concealer.

Not to mention, I have horrible undereye circles because of ezcema, and I guess you could call them ';raccoon eyes'; but when I put this concealer on, it looks so flawless.
I would suggest you try Mac's Select cover up. It is a liquid camouflage for the skin. Texture-free, virtually invisible. Comes in a tube. Blends in. Brightens and lightens dark areas, erases spots, evens-out skin tones. Makes skin flaw-free. Use pre-foundation, or on its own. It comes in different colours and textures. Try it.
I wouldn't recommend using a MAC classic for concealing things because the case is too hard to open. You can get a MAC G3 or G4 pretty cheaply off ebay. Open the case and remove the hard drive and video card. You will have plenty of room for concealing things and people will never guess that it is anything more than an old computer.
I use the MAC Select Cover Up (comes in the tube) which is ideal for dark circles... it has the orange tones that neutralise the black/ blue discolouration. Lil Me is more than correct in saying that its not ideal to use a concealer all over because your trying to cover up different types of discolourations and it doesn't work (no matter what some brands will tell you!!). With the Select the MAC Consultant did say it was ok (because of my neutral/ olive toned skin) to mix my concealer with my foundation (MAC Studio Fix).

Find what works from you... I've tried many brands because I have a hard skin tone to match and from were I live and what I can afford, MAC for me is ideal. I wasted a good deal of money shopping for make up to match my skin tone... I would highly recommend seeing a beauty consultant even if its just for advice.
I would also recommend not buying MAC makeup! they make you break out later on! mac is more of a stage makeup not for everyday use! I would recommend using too faced concealer http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>

    Are E.LF. cosmetics good quality?

I want to try out the makeup brand E.L.F but i'm not sure how good the quality is. If you do recommend me trying it out, what products should i buy and should i NOT buy. Thanks so much :)Are E.LF. cosmetics good quality?
Buy the plumping lip glazes! They give full lips (without pain or uncomfortable feeling) and give GORGEOUS color to the lips ;)

Buy the ELF all over cover stick. It's good to use as a eyeshadow base and keeps makeup on LONG. it is also good if you have like one zit/spot you wanna cover

Get the ELF eyeshadow quads! Great colors, great quality. Are E.LF. cosmetics good quality?
I love the ELF makeup applicators like the brushes for eye makeup and stuff. As far as their other products i have to say a BIG no to. The eye makeup burned my eyes and after that i really only trust the applicators!

If you want good cheap makeup try Sally's Beauty supply they have a bunch of cute minis for only a dollar. You can also try the Mary-Kate and Ashley makeup and Wet and Wild good, cheap didn't burn me or hurt my skin :-D

    Best Luck
Just go to their website and search for random items. There are lots of reviews on the site than can help you decide what to get. I just purchased 4 items from there when I only intended to get one thing, all because of the reviews. Good luck!
the eye shadow isnt that qood

but the mascara works a little

    Benefit V Mac Cosmetics?

Ive got both sets for christmas and im only keeping one. Its not about the price or what you get with them i was wondering out of personal experiences which brand you believe is the best out of the pair. Thanks!Benefit V Mac Cosmetics?
That is a hard decision, they are both really good brands. I like Benefit's face makeup, and MAC's eye makeup. Benefit is great for everyday makeup, and MAC is freaking awesome for special occasions or bolder, nighttime makeup.

I would say look through them, see which one has shades that suit you better, and keep that one.Benefit V Mac Cosmetics?
You didnt tell us which set you got.

MAC is great for people who want to achieve bold looks.

    Benefit is great for quality.

Benefit's benetint %26amp; lemon aid primer is really good. Love them both.

But I do love MAC's lipglass %26amp; mieralized skin finishes.
    Keep Both!!!!
    mac,

    they don't test on animals,

    i would chose mac.

Myth lipstick? mac cosmetics lovers please click.?

what do you think about the nude lipstick called 'myth' by mac? im considering purchasing it.Myth lipstick? mac cosmetics lovers please click.?
i have it - it is seriously just like concealer. the same color. i use it with the MAC clear lipglass on top and it give you that really trendy nude lip look. But it can make you look corpse like or sick. You really need a gloss over it, even if it is just clear. If you have really pale skin it looks weird because your lips are a darker skin color than your actual face. I found that i like the lipglass Underage way better. Its a gloss, not a lipstick so it has the shiny effect, whereas Myth is really matte. And Underage is a slight pink tint to it (not barbie-ish or anything) but it gives you more of an 'alive' look than Myth does, and still gives the great nude lip look. It has a high pigment in it also, so its not see through like a gloss normally is. I would really suggest going in and having them apply Myth before you purchase- its really tricky to get right and you have to have the right skin tone.Myth lipstick? mac cosmetics lovers please click.?
i don't really care for it.

i mean it makes it look like i have no lips.

so i wouldn't recommend it, but you can try it if you want.

    everyone has different opinions.
It's great, it even works on really pigmented lips.

It's Satin but comes off matte. It's creamy and non-drying.
I am honestly not a huge fan of it. *shrugs* you might like it... i use blankety. hope you get your answer!

Can you us an HSA account for cosmetic expenses?

My employer offers an HSA and we dont have an HR person who can help me. I am trying to find out if i can use the money in that account to fund my invisilign braces costs. Whats the best strategy to go about the HSA account? I am still young, dont have any medical expenses and can leave the money to accumlate interest so i can use it when i'm older OR i can use the money now to fund this expensive endeavor($5800). Please advise. Thanks! Can you us an HSA account for cosmetic expenses?
With any qualified HSA account the rules as to what the money can and cannot be used for is determined by the federal government - no one else. It doesn't matter who puts the money into the account, whether it be you, your employer or your next door neighbor.

Braces, along with all dental treatment except teeth whitening, are included in the list of what you can use the money for. Here are two websites from the IRS pertaining to HSA's: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p502.pdf and http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p969.pdf

You can contribute up to $2700 for a single policy holder and up to $5450 for a family this year. So if you don't have enough money in the account for the braces and do not foresee the limit going in this year you can make a separate contribution to the account. Since you'll have to pay for the braces anyway if you contribute to the account first you'll get the tax deduction. Can you us an HSA account for cosmetic expenses?
Generally speaking, HSA's can be used for such expenses. From past experience, it appears that the decision as to whether or not it can be used is left to the person who administers the HSA.

I can only advise checking with such administrator and see what happens !
HSA's can only be used for what the IRS determines to be a qualified medical expense, while it's true you can use the money for things other than medically necessary, those services are subject to taxes and maybe even a penalty tax.

If you itemize your tax deductions your running the risk of being audited if you use the HSA for something other than section 213 of the IRS allows then you'll more than likely get burnt for it.

Cosmetic procedures along with a letter of substantiation from the servicing provider are acceptable as long as you can prove the service was done primarily to alleviate a medical condition. I'd contact your companies HSA administrator for further information.

    Good Luck
My HSA plan will not let us use the $ in the account for services that would not normally be covered by health insurance. Its intent is to help pay our enormous deductible. However, my HSA is a bit different than most folks... My employer contributes most of the money in my fund, and I only contribute a small portion. If your contribution to the HSA is 100%, they'll probably let you use it for whatever. Call the cust svc # on the back of your card, and read your benefit book. It should tell you for sure. good luck.

Which cosmetic company has good make-up for people with darker skin tones?

im south asian, my skin is medium- dark which company would have the best shades for me

i currently use maybelline and its decent i would give it 3.5/5Which cosmetic company has good make-up for people with darker skin tones?
I would not recommend drugstore makeup, here's why: at the drugstore you cannot open the makeup and try it. Drugstores use gigantic overhead lights that are too bright and do not resemble natural light from the sun at all. Secondly, darker skin tones need *high* pigmented products. Drugstore makeup is inexpensive because pigments (that is what gives the color) are quite expensive to make. So they put next to nothing. It shows up in the package but not on you. (How many times have you bought an eyeshadow at the store and when you put it on, it disappears?).

MAC is known for having the largest range of foundation and eyeshadow shades. It's super-pigmented as well. A little goes a long way, and you can really create dramatic looks. They are owned by Estee Lauder. I am not a MAC user, I find their lines so confusing.

You just need to get a line with *high pigment*. Many of the makeup-artist driven companies (Stila, Urban Decay, Laura Mercier, NARS, etc) have excellent shade selections. Your basic cover girl, etc does not. One drugstore brand that makes excellent high pigments is Loreal's HIP line. Try it!

However, I can also recommend Iman makeup (their foundation comes in a variety of skin tones). For foundation, Iman would be a great choice because there are a lot of shades that look the same but that have slightly different undertones. People assume all dark skin is the same, but there are dark skin tones that have blue in them, bronze, yellow. pink, etc. Good luck.Which cosmetic company has good make-up for people with darker skin tones?

How do set up a small Microbiology Lab for a small start up cosmetic company.?

You will need to hire an experienced microbiologist to do this.

It will probably require an initial investment of 100,000 to a million dollars depending on your facilities. After the lab is set up you need to validate your equipment and compose a set of standard operating procedures.

It would probably be cheaper to outsource your micro testing. QA testing lab companies will have their own validated methods, a staff of microbiologists, and (in some cases) they'll even pick up your samples right from your processing facility. How do set up a small Microbiology Lab for a small start up cosmetic company.?

What is the main difference between plastic & cosmetic surgery?

Most people use these terms the same. Plastic surgery is the broad term. Under plastic surgery there are two ';branches';...cosmetic and reconstructive.

Cosmetic surgery is where you take a body part that is considered to in normal range for that body part and ';improve'; it (like breast implants or liposuction for bulging thighs).

Reconstructive surgery is where a body part that is damaged or malformed is corrected to look more normal (like cleft palates in children or accident or burn victims). What is the main difference between plastic %26amp; cosmetic surgery?
plastic surgery is like tummy tucks removing bags from under your eyes if someone gets burned they take skin off a good part of your body and use it to make the burns go away.......................cosmetic surgery is like making new eye brows, fuller lips removing cellulite from your bodyWhat is the main difference between plastic %26amp; cosmetic surgery?
I don't think there is a difference. I think the categories are ';reconstructive'; and ';cosmetic'; surgery. Cosmetic is something you just want to look different/better.
Plastic Surgery is just what it says, Surgury, with the use of Plastics involved, mainly used for reconstruction of the face due to blunt trauma,

Cosmetic Surgery can involve many differnet procedures. Liposuction, Face Lifts, Brow Lifts, tummy tucks, and Breast Implants are all considered Cosmetic, because they make you look different. So NO, they are not the same, HOWEVER, many plastic surgeons are the surgeons that do cosmetic surgery; which is why it is often confusing, hope this helps.

  • Can you still get moles removed for cosmetic reasons in the UK?

i want to get a mole removed on my fore head, i get it checked regulary and its fine but i hate it, will they remove it just for this reason? Can you still get moles removed for cosmetic reasons in the UK?
if they believe it is causeing you emotional difficulties i.e depression, or if it cause social difficulties i.e you get people looking at you in a not very nice way, then it is possible they will do it for you.Can you still get moles removed for cosmetic reasons in the UK?
only privately...the nhs will not fund it...unless you have a very sympathetic doctor.
If it is itchy doctors will remove it.

Last year I had a small mole on my back and it was itchy, my doctor told me to make a 20 minute appointment with her and the nurse at the same time, she numbed my back, removed the mole and then put a few stitches in it.

A week later I had the stitches out.

It may depend on your postcode NHS lottery, I am in Somerset but we can not get free osteopaths on the NHS here but I did in Berkshire.

Tell your doctor it is itchy and they may well do it for you.
A lot of gp surgery's' do small procedures like removing moles, I would ask your gp.
Yes they would remove it for a fee. Most insurance companies will not pay for it simply because it is cosmetic. You may have to pay out of pocket.
Yes you can butlike all things there's a downside -- you have to pay for it. Insurance wont cover it.

    ___X
You will have a scar left, would you rather have the mole, or a scar?

Speak to your doctor, they worst they will say is no, and then you will know if you have to start saving up for private surgery.
Yes, if you pay for it. It doesn't cost much though, probably about 拢50 to have it removed and they will often send it off to a lab to make sure it is benign.

saks fifth avenue's outlettish store called off the fifth always has mac stuff on major slashed clearance. for some reason, they'll have the most random stuff for some amazing deals. i also think that you should see if you qualify to be a part of their mac pro membership program. my sister is a makeup artist and submitted her information to mac with some form, got this discount card in the mail and now gets forty percent off most products each time she makes a purchase at a mac store...not counter but store, and in store you can purchase mac's refill shadows for the same amount of product, but in a refill form. it is usually three to four bux cheaper in the refill form. i hope these suggestions helped you as mac shadows are so addictively hard to turn down and you on over to mac to purchase one or two things and you leave with a bag full of stuff. i hope this information helps you. i know it's helped me! oh! by the way, that discount program has a lot of categories to choose from...you don't have to be a makeup artist only to get the discount. there are other categories on this list. i haven't seen them all but i saw my sister's. call up mac's customer service number from their website or call your nearest mac store. not counter but store. happy macshadowing it!! i love their shadows! i even use them as facial contouring, highlighting and blush! Is there anywhere I can buy M.A.C. cosmetics inexpensively?

You know as many of us would want to know where we can purchase these products for a cheeper price, we try to do what we can do and that is ';hook-up'; Im talking about a person you know that works for Mac, I think they get 30-40% off......thats the only thing that I can think off if you like Mac.
Sorry, but I think the best chance of buying MAC for cheap is Ebay or Craigslist. Good luck finding it!

Effective cosmetic or cream to smooth wrinkles on laugh lines?

I'm 56, and I've been lucky with regard to forehead and eyes as I have only a few minor and barely visible wrinkles. By contrast, on each side of my mouth, I have deep laugh lines. I know I've earned them from plenty of smiling, but I really don't like them. I may eventually look into botox, but I've read of cosmetics or creams which fill in these lines temporarily. I want something like this, but when I search online, there are tons. Many of them cost from $55.00 to $150.00 and I don't have that kind of money to experiment. My friends tell me that they tried some and they warned, ';Do not overly smile after using the product';. LOL! I am wondering if anyone has experience selling these types of cosmetic/creams, or if anyone has happened upon a good product for filling laugh lines? Hopefully, it will be one that allows me to smile.Effective cosmetic or cream to smooth wrinkles on laugh lines?

    What about NYX cosmetics?

So would you say that their eyeshadow pigmentation is comparable to MAC's? What do you say about their lipstick and lip glosses? Blushes and bronzers?

as many answers as you can give? please. [=What about NYX cosmetics?
from what ive heard NYX cosmetics are very good for their price,

go to makeupalley.com and search NYX, they have so many reviews! trust me, sometimes, i spend ours just reading reviews on products because im such a makeup junkie :What about NYX cosmetics?
    |Eyeshadows: Definitely not comparable to MAC, but still amazingly pigmented and affordable. I'd definitely start out with these before going onto MAC! Here's a video on one of their pallets: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq-cuQeKT鈥?/a>

Lipsticks/Lipglosses: I've never tried their lipglosses but their lipsticks are fantastic. I have one of the round lipsticks in Harmonica and it's a beautifully pigmented pale frosty pink. It's super moisturizing also.

Blushes/Bronzers: I know they have a wide variety of blushes and I have the one in ';Pinky.'; It's very sheer but gives a very natural dewy glow. I haven't tried their bronzers but i'd really like to try them!

NYX is great, it's one of my favorite makeup brands.
i have NYX eye shadow, round lip stick and shadow pencil

one thing - i cannot use MAC lipstick, it breaks my lips out BAD

NYX, did not break them out at all

sooo .. of course i like NYX better

they dont have as wide of selection but they do have some MAC dupes

i have 6 and like them all

    shadow pencils are a must!

good base if you dont want to spend $18 on urban decay or a paint pot
I can't say much about their eyeshadows or blushes since I don't have any (though I've heard they are really pigmented), but I have tried a few of the lipsticks and lipglosses. The lipsticks are actually really pigmented and creamy and go on well, but they don't have the staying power as MAC lipsticks. And same basically goes with their glosses. I'd still say give them a try.

Any ideas? Is there a way of getting free cosmetic surgery?
You could try 10 years younger . But are you sure you need it that badly ?Is there a way of getting free cosmetic surgery?
    marry a plastic surgeon

if u NEED it then some insurance companies will cover the costs but if its something that you simply want then they will not

it took my friend 4 years to get approved for a breast reduction even though she was 4'11 and her chest was 38 EE (yeah her chest was HUGE) and they kept denying her because it was ';cosmetic'; surgery and they didnt think she ';needed'; to have the surgery even though she was in severe pain (severe back problems from the extra weight)
I know a few people who have had cosmetic surgery and i know this sounds bizarre but on the NHS. For example an x work colleague of mine her partners x wife went to the doctors saying she was depressed due to the size of her breasts and she managed to get a boob job done on the NHS. So maybe if it is really getting you down that much talk to your doctor.
    I'll do it!!

Lol just kidding Stormy. If something affects your mental or physical health then your doctor can refer you. This is mostly the case to do with breast reduction or gastric bands.

My niece had plastic surgery on a scar on her cheek. She fell on glass when she was a couple of years old.
It isn't easy to get it free.

If you need surgery for health reasons then your insurance will probably cover it.

If you can show that it is affecting you mentally then you will probably be allowed it free.
here in the UK, if something on your body/face bothers you alot and makes you depressed, an u make a big deal of it to the hospital etc. you can get it free on the NHS, girls even get boob jobs for free!!
If you need cosmetic surgery for health reasons, your insurance will most likely cover it.
I have a craft knife, I'm sure I could give it a go for a couple of beers...
    You dont need surgery STFU!!!
    I don't so

I have a motorcycle with with minor cosmetic damage but a non repairable title, how can i get a salvage title?

I'm in oregonI have a motorcycle with with minor cosmetic damage but a non repairable title, how can i get a salvage title?
Did you still owe on it? If you did and your insurance company totaled it and paid off the note. Then you would buy it back from your insurance company with a salvage title.

Do I need health insurance for cosmetic surgery ?

    Just wondering ?

I have the money to pay for it, so I don't need the insurance to cover it..But the medical forms ask for that information, and I don't have health insurance yet ?

Does it matter ? Can I get the surgery without it ?Do I need health insurance for cosmetic surgery ?
You can get surgery without health insurance. Health Insurance would pay for medication after the surgery %26amp; would cover your medical bills shuld there be an infection resulting from the surgery.Do I need health insurance for cosmetic surgery ?
most insurance companies wont pay for cosmetic surgery anyway.. unless its medically necessary
Interesting that you would choose to use your available money to pay for cosmetic surgery instead of a health insurance policy. Questionable choice of priorities.
Insurance does not cover cosmetic surgery. It's for people who are sick, not vain!!!
yes; they are stock forms for some issues that might be covered so they know where to bill
Health insurance does not pay for cosmetic surgery. Money only.
I don't know of any health insurance that will pay for cosmetic surgery. Sorry.

    That's just a standard form.

    Ignore it or put none
No, if you have the money you will be self paying, generally, Ins, doesn't cover cosmetic surgery anyway.
Health insurance usually doesn't cover cosmetic surgery, unless the cosmetic surgery is used to correct a medical problem. For example, the surgery to correct a deviated septum is the same as a cosmetic ';nose job';.
Yes, you can get cosmetic surgery without health insurance. Health insurance generally won't cover cosmetic surgery at all because it's not a medical problem. If you're getting cosmetic surgery because you suffered severe burns or had a mastectomy, insurance may cover those types of situations.
Health insurance doesn't over cosmetic procedures unless they are life threatening, and even then, there is limited coverage on it.

Forms ask for such information, because it is the medical law to ask for those rare cases and it is a standard procedure.

    Mary Kay Cosmetics?

I am wanting to start buying Mary Kay cosmetics but really haven't decided for sure. I have never used Mary Kay so am wanting to know if Mary Kay is worth it. I have never known anyone who has ever used the cosmetics so am wanting to know if the cosmetics are as good as I have heard?Mary Kay Cosmetics?
Don't go buying products until you're certain. I sell Mary Kay and the one thing that I liked about it was that you can TRY any product before buying it. So don't buy something you're not sure about. Almost all other cosmetic companies you can NOT try it before purchasing, but with MK you certainly can. So try it out and see if it really works for you.

I personally use them everyday and love them. I have extremely sensitive skin and I have allergic reactions to many cosmetics but i have NEVER had a bad reaction to Mary Kay because it is very gentle on my skin and eyes. If you would like to try some things you can check out my website and send me an email of what things you would like to try. Good luck!Mary Kay Cosmetics?
they're great. really worth it. i'd say mostly the powder and stuff like that though. the eyeshadow and all that is just the same as any other, so i wouldn't waste money on that. but the face cleaning stuff, and especially the lip stuff is VERY good.

i'd say try some of it out, just don't go all out first. :)
Well I went from Clinique to Mary Kay and i regret it. It made my skin dry and looking all nasty and i started to break out. My best Friend had the same problem. I now use MAC and love it but i do n't like how heavy it can be so i use very little makeup.. I like more natural looks...

but over all i would NEVER buy Mary kay or advise anyone to use it.

    Just my experiance
    ya they r really good
I hear mostly good things from them. I have never tried either but always wanted to.
check out www.pinktruth.com, before you waste your money on overpriced, low quality products.
Yes they are -- I never sold them or anything but I bought them when I was a teenager/20s (ish) and my pimples and all cleared up right away (and I have allergies to certain make-up) -- I was able to wear the Mascara without itching and all. I don't wear make-up anymore but it actually helped my skin when I did wear it ---- it's a good product.
I swear by MaryKay cosmetics (marykay.com) I use all the cosmetics. Some of their lotions and spa products are nice too. For my facial regiment though, I use Usana products (usana.com)

My recommendation is to try a few of their items at a time - not purchase all at one time - although I am very pleased with their cosmetics.
They are good but a huge lay out in front so weigh it up good because you then have to find people to buy the product and that is the hard thing. I know someone and she gave me the sample case because she had trouble selling but good stuff though
The problem with Mary Kay is this:

Its a multi level type scam, once you buy with a ';consultant'; which by the way receives no training PROFESSIONALLY I MEAN on true skin care, they go to a few meetings and push sales, sales, sales and POOF they are a consultant now I know all you Mary Kay sales ladies are going to report me or give me thumbs down but I am only speaking the truth.

The quality is inferior the price is outlandish for what you get, but I understand the prices have to be high to be able to pay all the directors and so fourth, but back to the subject.

The other main objection I have to Mary Kay is after you buy then they are hounding you to sell it so they make a commission off your sales and then you fall into the scam and well it speaks for itself, not worth the headache... Good luck though ...truly
I used it once and hated it. Was greasy, made my face look shiney. I use merle norman, MAC is good as well.
i highly recomend it it is so amazing

everyone in my family uses it and everyone loves it

i dont where make up but i use their face cleansing systems

but my cousin bought practically every mascara imaginable but none of them worked so her mom who sells mkay gave her their water proof one she loved it and is the ONLy mascara she buys

    a true miracle worker!
I have been using Mary Kay for about 10 years now. Three years ago I decided to start selling it get the discount. Mary Kay is try before you buy and 100% guarenteed so you can't loose. If you don't have a consultant feel free to check out my website www.marykay.com\sdoshi I would be happy to send you samples of anything. if you want someone to sit down with you then you can use the consultant locator to find soemone in your area.

Just so you know I have very sensitive skin and lots of allergies Mary kay was one of the few things I could use.
I went to a MK party 3 years ago, and whatever it was they gave me to put on my skin BURNED! Now, to be fair, I have incredibly sensitive skin, so many products irritate my skin. The rep knew that, and gave me her sales pitch that it is safe even for the most sensitive skin... omg -- my face was red and puffy and HURT for 2 or 3 days after. When I told the rep what had happened, she more or less suggested that it wasn't the product and that I should try it again. She pushed it on me for another year until she finally moved away.

    Never again.
Mary Kay is a really nice brand. My mom, sister and I all use it and it's really nice quality. I promise.
I am a Mary Kay consultant, and a Mary Kay user and I swear by these cosmetics. Feel free to email me for any additional info that you are in need of.
I have used Mary Kay and my mother used to sell it. They do have many good products. It is not just make up either. They have skin care, perfumes, as well as some shoes and clothing. Depending on what your needs are, they will send a rep to your home if you are willing to host a party so that you can become more familiar with their line of products. I highly recommend Mary Kay products.
i personally love mary kay. it doesnt breakup out or harm my skin in anyway. also thry ;ast a long time!
They are expensive, but you should go to a Mary Kay party. You can try everything, get samples, and then decide if you want it. AND there are usually incentives to buy at these parties like discounts and free stuff.
    Expensive.
My sister inlaw likes it :)
well i have heard that they cause break outs because they are perfumed but i know that if your willing to pay the price for mary-kay you might as well use MAC because i think they have some of the best products
they are expensive....but so unbelievably worth it and im a cheap girl!
mary kay has really good products. some things are expensive, but worth it.

    good luck

What do you Honestly think of cosmetic surgery?

honestly, would you do it? what would you have done? what do you think of people who do have cosmetic surgery? What do you Honestly think of cosmetic surgery?
I would have it to reduce the signs of old age, or if I had an accident and was scarred/disfigured.

To change your natural appearance is not neccesary. If you have small boobs, be happy, if you have a large nose, be proud. Everyone's different. What do you Honestly think of cosmetic surgery?
I think a lot of people get cosmetic surgery because they have low self-esteem. Being happy with who you are and what God gave you - that's acceptance! Howwwwevvveeeeeer, if the part of your body that you want surgery on is causing you physical pain, for instance-large breasts causing back and shoulder pain, or emotional pain-such as a birth defect or deformity from an accident, then my heart goes out to you, get it done so you can live a more normal life. Surgery for vanity's sake is risky and unnecessary. The surgery won't fix psychological problems. I had at one time considered a procedure and even consulted with a Cosmetic Surgeon, but got rid of my husband instead who wanted me to have the surgery more than I ever wanted it.

p.s. that wasn't the main reason I left my husband. lol
I will not touch up my face at all. I have no problems aging. I've lived a long life and I've earned every wrinkle and I'm proud of them. But to each his own.

I've thought of having a tummy tuck, but it costs too much.

How expensive is it to get like 10 moles removed at a cosmetic surgery clinic? I make 8$/hour...?

I'm not even going to bother looking one up and asking if it's anywhere upwards of 500 dollars. I live in Southern California btw.How expensive is it to get like 10 moles removed at a cosmetic surgery clinic? I make 8$/hour...?
Richard Ramirez.... that name sounds familiar. You're not the Night Stalker are you?

Back to moles, do you have health insurance? If you have health insurance your doctor can zap them off and you will only have to pay your co-pay. I've had moles taken off and the local anesthetic hurts like heck. I think taking off 10 at once will kill you or leave you crying on the floor like a baby. How expensive is it to get like 10 moles removed at a cosmetic surgery clinic? I make 8$/hour...?
you should go to a good dermatologist and it would be less than one hundred fifty here in tn but out there it may cost you say 400. they can freeze them off and its lot cheaper and less painful.
Stop looking now. At around 85 a pop, you are looking at at least 850.00.

I've found that the best natural products come from Almay. I have skin that breaks out really easily to, and Almay's products seem to be the absolute best.

    Hard %26amp;%26amp; Expensive:

Go to either a Macy's, Geyermans, or Marshall Fields and find a clinique booth. Ask a lady for help. They gave me the best skin products I have ever used in my entire life! Although the prices were quite higher than a normal priced makeup would be, their products actually work and last long. There employees really know how to find the right type of makeup for your skin type. :)

EVERYBODY'S skin is different hun. So really, you have to try whatever you would like to.

Just a warning though. When I used this Almay foundation with all natural ingredients, my skin got irritated a little. So just make sure your not allergic to anything or something like that. lol. **edit** Since you say your skin is super sensitive, you MAY want to rethink natural cosmetics and go for the makeup that's for sensitive skin.

    Animal-Cruelty cosmetics---List please?

I've been trying to find makeup and soap/shampoo etc. stuff that's not tested on animals. I thought someone somewhere would have a list on the internet..

    is there?

All i know is the bodyshop, and definitely NOT neutrogena

Please don't just list off names for me, I'd like a site or source.

    Thanks so much!Animal-Cruelty cosmetics---List please?
The first answer is wrong. Both of those cosmetics are said to be tested on animals, especially Neutrogena.

Also, people have said that Sally Hanson is tested on animals, but on the Sally Hasen website, they say the do NOT test on animals. So I would just do some research on what products you use. Here is what I use for certain prodcut that do NOT test on animals:

    Hair:

    Drugstore: TRES'me (sp?), Got2b,

    Salon: Paul Mitchell and Chi.

    Makeup:

Drugstore: NYC, Rimmel, Revlon, Lip Smackers, Bonnebell.

Department: MAC, Urban Decay, Benefit, Too Faced, Coastal Scents, NYX

    Nails:

Drugstore: NYC, (was using Sally Hasen, but unsure if it does test or not)

    Salon: OPI, China Glaze

    Toothpaste/deoderant:

    Drugstore: Tom's of Maine

other: anything from Whole foods or other natural stores.

Favorite brand for skincare is BURTS BEES!

These are just a couple of exampls of what I use. Here is a site that shows what brands DO and DO NOT test products on animals! it has saved me!

Good job for quitting to use products tested on animals! EVERYONE needs to do it! and if they do not think that it is a big deal, have them check out the PETA website...maybe they will have second thoughts!

    http://search.caringconsumer.com/Animal-Cruelty cosmetics---List please?
Here's a link to a list of companies that DO NOT test on animals:

    http://search.caringconsumer.com/

If you don't see your favorite cosmetic on there like Estee Lauder, Lancome, L'Oreal or Chanel, then it's because they have not proved that they don't test on animals and you should stay away from those products if you want cruelty-free products.
everything in drugstores except neutrogena, and physicians formula

How do i know when it is the right time to have cosmetic surgery?

I think the right time to have cosmetic surgery is when you have tried everything else (diet, exercise, cosmetics) and still have changes that you would like to make.

You also need to have a sense of realism about what the surgery is going to do for you. It is not going to make you rich and fabulous, but you may get more self confidence.

Lastly, make sure you have enough money to get the right procedure done with the right doctor. You might need to wait until you have the money saved.

Have you watched Dr. 90210? I think that show gives some realistic portrayals of what cosmetic surgery is like. How do i know when it is the right time to have cosmetic surgery?
when you start feeling really ugly.

%26amp;%26amp; the comment above really hits the spot =DHow do i know when it is the right time to have cosmetic surgery?
When you bank account is big enough and your vanity / self-esteem is low enough.

    Only you can answer that.
it depends on each individual. Before you consider it be sure you have realistic expectations, enough $$$ and a good surgeon. Plastic surgery will not automatically change your life, it may give you more self confidence, create a younger looking you etc.I had a face lift at age 59 It made be look younger, I don't regret doing it. good luck.
It's never the right time; it's a waste of your hard earned dollars. BE YOURSELF.
when your boyfriend starts heaving every time you start to undress.
when every starts to call you ugly

    Are NYX cosmetics good?

I always thought they were a generic brand or a dollar store brand.

I want to find a cheaper replacement for the Urban decay 24/7 and my friend buys things from their brand. But their makeup looks cheap and bad-quality. My friend gets hers from a weird variety store that sells wigs, cigarette lighters, and whatever, so I was wary of trying their things.

So could anyone give me any feedback or opinions on Nyx cosmetics? :)Are NYX cosmetics good?
They're really good! I have quiet a few stuff from them, and I'm very pleased. They're very pigmented, color pay off is really good.

It doesn't hurt in trying one product from them (:

They're cheap but high quality in my opinion, and if you want a cheaper alternative to the Urban Decay 24/7 pencils I really recommend L'Oreal Extra-Intense liquid pencil eyeliner, its amazing for drug store brand, it super smooth%26amp; creamy, glides on my eyelids, and doesn't tug at them at all.

I have UD 24/7 eyeliner in zero and the L'Oreal one in Black, and I see no difference in them, except that the UD one did smudge a little, while the L'Oreal didn't smuge on me at all, stayed on a really long time, and on my waterline too, I didn't have to touch up much. I been reaching more for the L'Oreal one then my UD one. You should check it out and see if you like them. (:Are NYX cosmetics good?
I like the eyeshadows , lipstick %26amp; lip gloss. The mascara is not too good because it dries up quickly, though I find that the colored mascara (blue) shows up well on dark hair. The dark lip colours are worth trying too.

My fave is the lipgloss/lip lacquer in Silver Plum

Good to use if you are trying to see whether a new color that is fashionable at the moment, suits you.
Like any brand, it's hit and miss.

I have used a few of their shadows, and they worked the same as my other drug store and high end shadows.

So really, just try it. If you dislike it, return it.
    I really like them :)

I've never used Mystery before... but since it's a Satin finish, I can definitely say that it'll be pigmented and be very easy to blend because it's very fine and soft. With the colour, I think it's best for you to be the judge - so go to a MAC counter or store and swatch it on your fingers/hands or ask the MAs there if this colour will look good on you. Hope this helps :)Have u ever used 'MYSTERY' eyeshadow of MAC cosmetics?

Is there a way to get rid of excess facial hair without buying any cosmetics? shaving? or laser surgery?

cause i would really like to know. lol.

i have a little bit of hair on my face, upper lip, and on my neck, and i really hate it sooo much. i tried using those creams and i hated it, cause i have sensative skin and it always burned me, and now i just shave it off, but i hate that too haha. well thanks for listening to my embaressing problem!!Is there a way to get rid of excess facial hair without buying any cosmetics? shaving? or laser surgery?
I have this embarrassing problem, too. Sometimes I pull out the hair with tweezers when I am feeling especially patient. Usually I just shave it. It is the cheapest, fastest, easiest way. It is an old wives tale that shaving makes it grow back in thicker or faster. Is there a way to get rid of excess facial hair without buying any cosmetics? shaving? or laser surgery?
I don't recommend shaving with a razor because, it doesn't make it grow in thicker, but you are cutting it at the base which is the thicker part of the hair, so then you have stubble. I think those wax strips for the face are really effective. And you don't need to spread it because it's already there, just press the plastic together to warm it up and then peel it, stick and pull. Easy.

Also, there is a thing that looks like a pen, Personal Touch I think is a brand, and it shaves but in a softer way. It's battery powered and you just lightly brush it on the face to eliminate the fuzz.
Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods. Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are ';permanent'; hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged. A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://www.hairremoval.in

    Get some facial hair bleach.

Im full-on Italian so my hair is always dark.

Does anyone seriously know the answer to this? getting a profile for cosmetic surgery?

I keep asking this, but getting all kinds of different answers. Has anyone experienced this? I want to get a breast augmentation and i am in the air force. i know that it can get approved to do off base, but if i choose to do so can i use a couple weeks to heal and then get on a profile for pt or do i have to use like 40 plus days of my own leave to completely heal so that i can do pt?Does anyone seriously know the answer to this? getting a profile for cosmetic surgery?
I answered this before my wife is an Active duty, Lt Col at Wilford Hall if you can get it approved by your PCM, you will have to take your own leave to recover, and as far as PT your PCM will give you a wavier.

If you still feel this is incorrect go to your PCM and get this same infoDoes anyone seriously know the answer to this? getting a profile for cosmetic surgery?
    I don't know the Answer.

But I bet if you go to the Surgeon, or your Primary Physician, they can answer all your questions.

Are you active duty Air Force now? Too Easy. Go to sick call, tell your PA what you want, and ask your questions.

    I wish you good luck.

How do I find a competent cosmetic surgeon?

Competent, meaning well-respected with satisifed patients. How do I find a competent cosmetic surgeon?
Check with friends or try to find out past clients to get an opinion. When you do get a name, go on line and check out his/her past. You can even check for past lawsuits. Lastly, when you do pick one go in for a meeting before your first appointment and make sure your personalities match. Good luck. How do I find a competent cosmetic surgeon?
go on the internet ask friends or a gym

    go on

    phone book
I would go online to maybe yahoo yellow pages and see different surgeons in your local area by typing ';plastic surgery'; or ';cosmetic surgery'; or something in the search box. Then I would first look at the ones with websites and read about them. Next, I would call different places, make appointments for an analysis. I heard that some places will even give you a virtual picture of the changes they could make. Then I would choose which of these different institutions you thought would be the best. Or you could talk to someone you know who had cosmetic surgery and ask them for reccomendations.

  • Asking boys/men:Are Girls wasting time on Cosmetics and dresses?

Where you (as boys and men) ever interested in what dress/jewelry/cometics your gf/spouse/or any girl that mattered wore?

What is it that you were really interested in..about a girl?Asking boys/men:Are Girls wasting time on Cosmetics and dresses?
I don't think women are wasting their time but I do think they put too much effort into it. I know that if you cut 1/2 an inch off your hair I'm not going to notice. If you put a few streaks in it or part it different, I'll notice something a bit diff but can't put my finger on it.

I try and be more observant than the average guy. Lately I have become more genuinely interested in what women wear because it directly affects their confidence. If I like an outfit (and oh yeah, it doesn't have to be low cut here), then I'll pay you a compliment. If I have a hard time getting the words out it's because you've taken my breath away. If you're wearing sandals in the snow, then I'll notice that you're a freakin' idiot.

I'm not so much into jewelry. Sure I'll notice different earrings and stuff but I'm it's the whole package I'm interested in.

I look at it this way - it's how you look that will get my attention, but it's your intelligence, poise, and character that will KEEP my attention.

Mind you I've been brought up that you treat a lady like a lady unless she doesn't something to prove you otherwise.Asking boys/men:Are Girls wasting time on Cosmetics and dresses?
    yup

Is it possible for an old cosmetic sponge to cause really bad painful breakouts on my chin?

ok so i have really bad pimples on my chin right now, they keep popping up other places too. this has been going on for a few weeks. they have been forming during the school day and over-night and when i think one is going away, 2 more pop up. i've tried pro-active for two months and all it did was make my skin shiny, and bleach our towels. so i went back to the arbonne acne line, which doesnt work either. i clean my face in the morning and night and i have no idea why my skin isnt improving. these pimples hurt and are embarassing. some are whiteheads and some are just big painful pink mountains. like i said they are mostly on my chin right now. i eat right and i rarely tough my chin and when i do i always wash my hands first. could be an old cosmetic sponge? i really dont know... i need help because im using product, and even if it's just a phase. something i've been using should help my pimples improve.. not get worse! help me please!!!Is it possible for an old cosmetic sponge to cause really bad painful breakouts on my chin?
Yes, definitely. Use new ones, or clean the ones you have with warm water and a mild detergent. Never share cosmetics with other people either. And if they're more than a few months old, toss them and get new ones.Is it possible for an old cosmetic sponge to cause really bad painful breakouts on my chin?
    um...try st. ives
THE SPONGE COULD BE THE REASON WHY YOU ARE BREAKING OUT YOU ALSO MIGHT WANT TO THINK OF THE MAKE UP YOU USE IT COULD BE THE MAKE IT SELF OR THE TYPE OF MAKE UP YOU USE I WOULD RECCOMEND BARE MINERALS MY COUSIN USES IT AND IT IS GREAT AND ALSO YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY CLINIQUE FACE WASH
Yes, the sponge is likely a breeding ground for acne causing bacteria. You may want to switch to using your fingertips, a foundation brush applicator (I use one by Mac), or just use the sponge once and toss it.

    Best of luck.
Breakouts can be caused by a number of things. Age and puberty can definately be a factor. If you do not believe that age is the case it could be several other things. You mentioned that you changed products. If you wash your face too much, or the product is too strong, you skin can overcompensate and create more oil to even out your skin. Secondly not every acne product works for everyone.

As for your cosmetic sponge, yes it is probably contributing to the breakouts. You should be replacing it very often. When you use it each time not only are you adding oils to the sponge, but also dead skin cells. To help your skin heal try and take a break from make up ( I know this is hard, as acne is embarrasing). You can just take breaks on days that you stay at home, or right when you get home from work/school. That should help the healing process.

I hope I was able to help you!
YES!!! You should change out all of your make up products every 6 months (eyeliner, mascara, lipstick) and you should change your applicators too every other month at least (sponges, wands, lip brushes)

To be honest I have done EVER medication out there including acutane the strongest acne medicine you can only go on it twice in your life. It was a pain. The best product I have ever used is the cheap crap. Clearasil Overnight Breakout Treatment. They sell it at walmart for like 5 bucks best thing ever. I was my face in with a deep action rinse every other day and use just water and toner the other days and apply the treatment at night to any bad areas. I also use a dual action mositurizer./acne fighter in the morning. Since washing soo much dries my skin out. I use the entire Clearasil Line.
    yes

It could be infested with bacteria. Get a new sponge or else bleach the old one.
The sponge is definitely a problem. Try using your fingers for foundation application. Also, the big red mountains you mention may be cystic acne, not regular pimples. This kind of acne often doesn't respond well to over the counter type meds- I know it's a pain, but you may wanna see the dermatologist before it gets out of hand.
it could be. any kind of old makeup, especially eye makeup will collect bacteria from your face and store it in the makeup and it will multiply. Gross, huh? but if you have open pores, pimples and are applying more bacteria in them, then it will probably cause a bigger breakout. I don't know how often you are supposed to change makeup stuff, i think 3-6 months.

Is there such a thing as cosmetic surgery for your inner knee?

Ten years ago my knee was damaged. I have had xrays and an mri and everyone says my results are normal. but my knee is significantly larger than my other knee. It's also itchy, numb and painful at times. I have not worn shorts in ten years and I am in pain at times. Is there a surgery that can make my knee look the way it did before the accident and take away the numbness and pain?Is there such a thing as cosmetic surgery for your inner knee?
It would be corrective surgery and not cosmetic. Breast reduction is corrective, a lift is cosmetic

Whats the pros and cons of cosmetic surgery?

I desperatly want rhinoplasty for my nose and breast enlargements done. I always had a thing about my nose and think after 28 years i think its time to do something about it. Not only that, after having my three children, my breasts are no longer the healthy 34DD they used to be. What do you think i should do. (When and if i can afford it).Whats the pros and cons of cosmetic surgery?
34 DD is too large, first of all.

Secondly, the ONLY pro is that you will be more appealing to the kind of superficial man that doesnt care about anything but your physical appearance.

    There are no other pros.

You will always be dissatisfied with yourself... you will always find something ';wrong'; that you will want to fix. It is just as superficial of you to want to change yourself. Moreover, its all fake. A guy like me wouldnt appreciate it at all.

Dont pretend for a second that this is about your own self confidence without any regard to men... because that is impossible. It always roots back to your general physical appearance for the sake of men. Physical appearance (sex appeal) means nothing if another person isnt involved in the equation. Your sense of self-worth is based entirely on how other people react to you... which is why you want to change. You cannot surgically change the real inner youWhats the pros and cons of cosmetic surgery?
pros,it can make you look better.cons, you could die.
pros are obvious. improved appearance, self confidence, and more clothing choices. as for your boobs it may reduce back strain. cons-surgery is risky-you may have bad side effects from anesthesia or post op infection. oh yeah don't forget about a bunch of hating b*tches who will talk a bunch of poo about your new improved appearance and happiness about it. good luck-and love yourself no matter what you decide.
I've just had a rhino about 6 months ago. The surgery was fine %26amp; relatively painless. But, for some reason or another, I ended up with a perforated septum. It happens to very few people. But, my nose looks pretty good. It will take up to a year for your nose to get to it's final shape. So if you decide to have the procedure, don't be disappointed if your nose doesn't look like you had planned. It will take a while. There's nothing wrong with enlarging your breasts, but I've had very large breasts before %26amp; I've had a reduction. I much perfer the smaller breasts. Large breasts are heavy %26amp; can cause tremendous back %26amp; neck pain, not to mention finding tops that fit well. All in all, as long as you're mentally stable %26amp; can afford the surgeries, then proceed. No cosmetic surgery will make you feel better about yourself, if you're depressed. You should be happy with yourself first %26amp; accept yourself. If you're already happy there's no reason not to enhance yourself. There will be some pain, but I've had both breast %26amp; nose surgery (reduction is more intense then augmentation) and neither were really as painful as one would think. If you've had children then this will be a piece of cake. Talk to a good plastic surgeon, do research online, %26amp; educate yourself. Online you can see pics of the surgical process %26amp; you can get a better understanding of what's involved. But, I warn you, it looks much worse than it actually is. Good luck. It's worth it if you can save the money %26amp; have it done. I wouldn't change a thing since I've had mine. I'd do it again if I had to.
Nothing wrong with a little tune up, darlin'. My recommendations:

Do some research. Get estimates of general costs, risks and recovery times so you know what to expect when you walk into the office.

Don't just pick a surgeon out of the phone book. Follow recommendations from other people who have had similar surgery.

Consult multiple doctors. Cost varies; results vary...Find the doctor that fits your price range AND delivers good results.

Once you've choosen a doctor, check them out with the Better Business Bureau and other similar organisations. It's not paranoid - it's prudent. Doctors can have their license revoked in one state only to set up shop in another. Some minimal investigative work will keep you out of a chop shop.

Last but not least - No snap decisions. Sleep on it for awhile. You know you want to do it and that's great, but make certain that the circumstances feel right. Plastic surgery's not going anywhere and neither is your nose - take your time.

    Good luck!
    ok

well always see a therapist first and sort out internal issues

    then theres the price

then theres the surgeon do your research carefully

going abroad is cheaper but yopu cant e sure of the standard of surgeon you get

then theres the pain after surgery

and then theres the after care

if your saline solution or silicon implants leak they will ahve to be replaced

most breast enlargements get re done with smaller ones as they are just too heavy for the frame and uncomfortable
I think you should go for it if it'll boost your self confidence, but make sure you go to a well known surgery. The pro's are probably that you look better and feel better but the cons are that it could go wrong.
Enjoy being human and the fruits of change instead of focusing on what you don't like about yourself.

I'm sure your money could be spent on your children anyway.

  • Please help. does anyone here, experienced Ordering Cosmetics online? From US to Japan.?

Well some online stores doensn't ship internationally. So,I have tried to use a personal shopper (myus.com) but they told me,they can't send me cosmetics(because of my countries restrictions). They use DHL to send their packages. I just ordered some eyeshadows, eyeliner. I'm just wondering, how to get to order things from sephora, cherryculture and other online cosmetics shops. Any idea about this? Please help. does anyone here, experienced Ordering Cosmetics online? From US to Japan.?
Here's a link to shopping directory that lists only online stores that ship directly to Japan:

    http://www.intletail.com/japan/health-be鈥?/a>

of the sites listed there StrawberryNet is one I can really recommend.

I've purchased from them many times. They're one of my favorite online shops!

its best not to use on of those personal shopper services if you don't have to, cuz all they do is a receive a package, re-ship it, and charge you a big fee.

    Elf Cosmetics, worth the money?

Are elf cosmetic products worth spending your money on? Most products are a dollar and I am wondering is it cheap for a reason or is it just a really good deal.Elf Cosmetics, worth the money?
I heard there brushes are pretty good.

The duo cream eyeshadows can be used as a base.

The ELF element compacts are a good deal.Elf Cosmetics, worth the money?
elf is good for the basic stuff. but for powder or foundation, i recommend you get a better brand. from my experience, here's what i think about elf products:

    GOOD

brushes - they're cheap and work great

blush - blush is blush, no matter where you get it. so i recommend elf, rather than some expensive brand

lip gloss - just make sure its the correct shade for your lips

    NOT SO GREAT

eye makeup remover pads - they dry up and dont even work well in the first place. instead, use makeup remover facewash and then, put vaseline or lotion on a qtip and take off your eye makeup

bronzer - makes you look tackey and fake; it does not look natural at all

eyeliner - rubs off quickly, not that dark, and is basically just bad quality

and any products with 'shimmery' in their name tend to be TOO shimmery where it looks bad
    Dayna,

It really depends on what you are accustomed to. I am use to middle to high end makeup. Two years ago, I purchased out of curiosity a blush and threw it away after 2 uses. It's pigmentation was off, and too powdery. I guess it's good for pony tailed girls starting to use makuep that really never used the good makeup, but if you are a WOMAN going to an interview, work, or going to a party, look elsewhere. Cheap makeup will only make you look cheap.
i have ordered from there and i do believe they are good products. also, make sure to read reviews in case. i have ordered from there twice already, and im planning to order more.
They're cheap , and i've heard some good reviews on them.. but i have never tried any of their products. I believe it's worth it to try, since it's very inexpensive. Everything there is a dollar, right? .
I've ordered some stuff from them before, and they do some lovely little palettes. This beauty blog has a good review of the products and has never let me down so far ]

Ok well i have always been for cosmetic surgery. If it helps with someone confidence then why not? Its their choice in life! I have always Been for it but my other half is totally against the idea! Just wondered how over people felt about cosmetic surgery? And if anyone else out there had a partner out there who was against surgery but they went ahead with it anyways and what it then did to their relation ship and how their partner took it???

thanks xxxHow do you feel about cosmetic surgery?
I think its really disgusting. These companies thrive of of people who have a horrible body image. Everybody should love there body, and if they care for what is good for it, they shouldn't inject it with plastic or have fat medically taken out. ITS GROSS. I was at a hair salon once, and I was looking through this magazine. There was an add for a cosmetic surgery company, and there were a bunch of ';before and after'; pics. There was this picture of a little girl who couldn't have been over 8 who had her ears pinned back and her nose re-shaped. What is this society that is making this little girl feel like she isn't beautiful?? The average age for a nose job is 13!!!! It is so sad that people are so unsatisfied with their body that they resort to this. Its disturbingHow do you feel about cosmetic surgery?
I have never done cosmetic surgery. The risks outweigh the benifits for me. I believe, that it is drastic to undergo cosmetic surgery to look ';normal'; or ';beautiful';, unless of an acident or injury.

Cosmetic Surgery. Is it really risky to undergo lip reduction and chin augmentation?

I've read an article from a cosmetic surgery website that undergoing lip reduction could lead to a permanent numbness of the chin area (after undergoing chin augmentation) or numb sensation on the lips right after undergoing lip reduction. Is there anybody out there who went into this kind of procedure and found this out to be true. What is the percentage of having successful from unsuccessful operations- that is the risk of having permanent numbness...Cosmetic Surgery. Is it really risky to undergo lip reduction and chin augmentation?
ANY surgery is risky and has possible side effects. Just be happy with who you are and how you look. Maybe go to a salon and have a stylist give you a new cut would make you feel better. I just think cosmetic surgery is an unnecessary risk. Remember the movie from several years ago ';The First Wives Club';? Well the woman who wrote that book died from having cosmetic surgery!!!!!! Don't risk it!!Cosmetic Surgery. Is it really risky to undergo lip reduction and chin augmentation?

I'm thinking about having cosmetic surgery abroad. Any tips or advice from personal experience?

I'm a bit nervous about having cosmetic surgery in my local area. I'm thinking that if I were to get an operation abroad I could recover and recuperate away from work colleagues and friends. Also, I've read that I could save some money by getting my surgery done abroad. Does anybody have any personal experience? Can anybody recommend some good sources online to read more about this?I'm thinking about having cosmetic surgery abroad. Any tips or advice from personal experience?
This is certainly something that you would not want to enter into lightly. My main advice would be to research, and keep on asking questions. It鈥檚 generally a a good indication of the responsibility and professionalism of a surgeon that your concerns are discussed in detail before any operation takes place and you are aware of any complications or side effects that may occur, no matter how rare.

If answers are hard to come by then I鈥檇 advise you to consider this as a warning sign and start looking for a different surgeon. After all, you can take as long as you want selecting a surgeon you feel comfortable with, but you will be living with the results for the rest of your life.

With regards to getting cosmetic surgery abroad. Yes there are certainly some massive savings to be had in comparison with standard US and UK prices. My advice would be to investigate this through a reputable company that have direct connections with the surgeon in the country you want to go to. Such companies will often help you org anise your entire trip and look after you during your stay.

From looking around on-line I鈥檝e found the following resources which I think you鈥檒l find useful:

www.privatehealth.co.uk/ cosmetic-surgery/cosmetic-abroad 鈥?This site lists a wide selection of companies that offer cosmetic surgery abroad

Are you getting a sex change? If so, Malaysia is the best place to go. for treatment (medical and societal) and cost. I don't know any resources though. sorry! and best of luck!
If you had seen the movie I did last night, you would'nt want to change a thing about yourself. It was how plastic surgery's go wrong.

  • MAC cosmetics..the best brand?

I want to look flawless not painted. Are MAC cosmetics the best choice?MAC cosmetics..the best brand?
As a professional makeup artist, I say DO NOT use MAC. The used to be used by pro makeup artists, but when the company was sold, the quality and suitability for makeup artistry went waaaay downhill. I do not use one single MAC product in my work doing makeup for film and theater.

What most consumers don't realize is that professional makeup artists do not use any one brand in there kit, but a combination of many different brands to get the absolute best quality products. Additionally, it is not the brand of cosmetics that gives use a flawless look, but the way that you apply your cosmetics. If you apply correctly, you can get a ';Flawless'; look with drugstore brands just as easily.MAC cosmetics..the best brand?
my sister works for them. every makeup has it's flaws. (may cause pimples...wrinkles...but that's all makeup) but they are expensive. whatever you feel like that fits you.
Yes.. they were originally only used by make up artists on the stars. If it's good enough for them it's good enough for the rest of us :)
they are very good because they contain more pigments in the colors than most cosmetic companies use...and they last a long time when properly applied..they are used by most entertainers when performing under hot lights as they last longer..and they are not that expensive..
According to my wife Shiseido makes better makeup than MAC.

According to me, they all look the same. But what do I know, I'm just the guy with the debit card.
personally, i like clinique. they have tons of colors and types of make-up for every skin. and it looks very natural, not fake-ish and ugly. you won't look like a clown, but it really does make you look great. if you go to a clinique counter a lady there can match you up with perfect shades and everything. MAC is fine, im sure, but one time a lady showed me a demonstration, and it was a little to clown looking for me, so ive stuck with clinique.
MAC is really good. It's one of the main brands they use at fashion shows and such, and it's big with celebs too. It works well, but it's expensive.

And be careful finding a colour... I've found that with MAC you can try it in the store and it looks good, but when you're outside it's too orange-y.
yes me my mom and my sister love mac its the best and if u turn in 7 enpty bottles u get free ones i love mac

ps.return the fav answer my question
Personally, I don't think MAC is all that. I think it's over rated to tell you the truth. During my friend's wedding, she arranged to have her and her bridal party get their make-up done by MAC and according to their opinions, they said that the foundation felt cakey and the color runs and smears throughout the day. I sampled their lip gloss aka glass, and it didn't stay on my lips, not only did I have shiny lips but a shiny chin too. When it comes down to it, you just have to test the products out for yourself.
Bobby Brown has great concealers and foundations that if used correctly, you look flawless, and not painted.

    So does Makeup Forever.

Kevin Aucoin, that line is great too, but kinda pricey.
To me, it is. It is nongreasy and is the best coverage. Too much will make you look too made up, but you can put on the right coverage and walla! I have had so many compliments on the cosmetics that I wish I could get paid for all the advertisement they are getting for free.
try arbonne cosmetics. they are all natural made with no mineral oil or animal products. they are safe, pure and beneficial. i'm a consultant now for them because all of their products are so wonderful...good luck darlin!

MAC cosmetics..... mostly the EYESHADOWS...why are?

they so expensive and is it worth it. Also I am not much into makeup, I am 28 but now I want to learn how to put some on. Any good sites that show you, maybe some with video.. thanks to all!!!!!!MAC cosmetics..... mostly the EYESHADOWS...why are?
Mac is a high-end department store brand, they are higher priced than drugstore stuff because generally speaking they have better service (testing all products before buying), knowledgeable employees, and better ingredients like more pigment in their products. This doesn't mean all hgih-end is great and all low-end is horrible- it varies from brand to brand and product to product. And actually, relatively speaking it's not ';expensive';, it's one of the cheapest department store brands (compare to Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Laure Mercier, Stila, Dior, etc).

I think for the most part, MAC is worth it but it depends on how much disposable income you have and what your priorities are. Some people would rather go out to dinner or buy a new book than a few makeup items. Every brand has their good and bad products, just look around online for reviews (makeupalley.com is good) and go to a MAC counter to see what works on you.

Youtube has some great makeup tutorials, also check out any makeup counter for pointers and products catered to your skintype.MAC cosmetics..... mostly the EYESHADOWS...why are?
MAC eyeshadows are amazing. In fact, everything they have is amazing, except some of their foundations and mascaras aren't preferred by everyone. Anyways, they are definitely worth it, and last for years!! I've had one eyeshadow for about 2 years now and I just hit the pan, and still have lots left. As for make up application, I suggest heading over to youtube and searching ';make up application';.
Mac is totally worth it! It stays on all day and it doesn't break you out. You should make an appointment with a Mac consultant and let them show you how to wear your make up and what type of make up to wear. Even though some of them look like clowns they're still really good and won't over do it on you. Also if your just starting to wear make up try Mac's mineral line. Its very natural.
If you go the mac counter at belks they will show you how to put it on for free. You may need to make appt.I live in fla.We have a make up outlet so mac cosmetics are cheaper I dont know if you have outlets in your area but you also may try that.
If you go to a department store at the makeup counter they will help you learn how to put it on or you can get the girls together and have a mary-kay party!!! but I like to get makeup on eBay just use caution and make sure they are new!
if you go into the mac store, they will give step-by-step directions on how to apply it. it's expensive because it's good quality. it goes on easily, and stays on all day.
    there eyeliners are really good, personally i think all eye shadow is kinda the same but mac has a huge selection of colors...but there bronzers and blushes are pretty good, my favorite MAC eyeliner is ';teddy';
watch how to apply eyeshadows on youtube, there are some great instructional videos out there!!!
