Mary Kay Cosmetics?

I am wanting to start buying Mary Kay cosmetics but really haven't decided for sure. I have never used Mary Kay so am wanting to know if Mary Kay is worth it. I have never known anyone who has ever used the cosmetics so am wanting to know if the cosmetics are as good as I have heard?Mary Kay Cosmetics?
Don't go buying products until you're certain. I sell Mary Kay and the one thing that I liked about it was that you can TRY any product before buying it. So don't buy something you're not sure about. Almost all other cosmetic companies you can NOT try it before purchasing, but with MK you certainly can. So try it out and see if it really works for you.





I personally use them everyday and love them. I have extremely sensitive skin and I have allergic reactions to many cosmetics but i have NEVER had a bad reaction to Mary Kay because it is very gentle on my skin and eyes. they're great. really worth it. i'd say mostly the powder and stuff like that though. the eyeshadow and all that is just the same as any other, so i wouldn't waste money on that. but the face cleaning stuff, and especially the lip stuff is VERY good.





i'd say try some of it out, just don't go all out first. :)
Well I went from Clinique to Mary Kay and i regret it. It made my skin dry and looking all nasty and i started to break out. My best Friend had the same problem. I now use MAC and love it but i do n't like how heavy it can be so i use very little makeup.. I like more natural looks...


but over all i would NEVER buy Mary kay or advise anyone to use it.

Yes they are -- I never sold them or anything but I bought them when I was a teenager/20s (ish) and my pimples and all cleared up right away (and I have allergies to certain make-up) -- I was able to wear the Mascara without itching and all. I don't wear make-up anymore but it actually helped my skin when I did wear it ---- it's a good product.
I swear by MaryKay cosmetics (marykay.com) I use all the cosmetics. Some of their lotions and spa products are nice too. For my facial regiment though, I use Usana products (usana.com)





My recommendation is to try a few of their items at a time - not purchase all at one time - although I am very pleased with their cosmetics.
They are good but a huge lay out in front so weigh it up good because you then have to find people to buy the product and that is the hard thing. I know someone and she gave me the sample case because she had trouble selling but good stuff though
The problem with Mary Kay is this:





Its a multi level type scam, once you buy with a ';consultant'; which by the way receives no training PROFESSIONALLY I MEAN on true skin care, they go to a few meetings and push sales, sales, sales and POOF they are a consultant now I know all you Mary Kay sales ladies are going to report me or give me thumbs down but I am only speaking the truth.





The quality is inferior the price is outlandish for what you get, but I understand the prices have to be high to be able to pay all the directors and so fourth, but back to the subject.





The other main objection I have to Mary Kay is after you buy then they are hounding you to sell it so they make a commission off your sales and then you fall into the scam and well it speaks for itself, not worth the headache... Good luck though ...truly
I used it once and hated it. Was greasy, made my face look shiney. I use merle norman, MAC is good as well.

i dont where make up but i use their face cleansing systems


but my cousin bought practically every mascara imaginable but none of them worked so her mom who sells mkay gave her their water proof one she loved it and is the ONLy mascara she buys

Just so you know I have very sensitive skin and lots of allergies Mary kay was one of the few things I could use.
I went to a MK party 3 years ago, and whatever it was they gave me to put on my skin BURNED! Now, to be fair, I have incredibly sensitive skin, so many products irritate my skin. The rep knew that, and gave me her sales pitch that it is safe even for the most sensitive skin... omg -- my face was red and puffy and HURT for 2 or 3 days after. When I told the rep what had happened, she more or less suggested that it wasn't the product and that I should try it again. She pushed it on me for another year until she finally moved away.





Never again.
Mary Kay is a really nice brand. My mom, sister and I all use it and it's really nice quality. I promise.

I have used Mary Kay and my mother used to sell it. They do have many good products. It is not just make up either. They have skin care, perfumes, as well as some shoes and clothing. Depending on what your needs are, they will send a rep to your home if you are willing to host a party so that you can become more familiar with their line of products. I highly recommend Mary Kay products.
i personally love mary kay. it doesnt breakup out or harm my skin in anyway. also thry ;ast a long time!
They are expensive, but you should go to a Mary Kay party. You can try everything, get samples, and then decide if you want it. AND there are usually incentives to buy at these parties like discounts and free stuff.

well i have heard that they cause break outs because they are perfumed but i know that if your willing to pay the price for mary-kay you might as well use MAC because i think they have some of the best products
they are expensive....but so unbelievably worth it and im a cheap girl!
mary kay has really good products. some things are expensive, but worth it.
