Do I need health insurance for cosmetic surgery ?

Just wondering ?

I have the money to pay for it, so I don't need the insurance to cover it..But the medical forms ask for that information, and I don't have health insurance yet ?

Does it matter ? Can I get the surgery without it ?Do I need health insurance for cosmetic surgery ?
You can get surgery without health insurance. Health Insurance would pay for medication after the surgery %26amp; would cover your medical bills shuld there be an infection resulting from the surgery.Do I need health insurance for cosmetic surgery ?
most insurance companies wont pay for cosmetic surgery anyway.. unless its medically necessary
Interesting that you would choose to use your available money to pay for cosmetic surgery instead of a health insurance policy. Questionable choice of priorities.
Insurance does not cover cosmetic surgery. It's for people who are sick, not vain!!!
yes; they are stock forms for some issues that might be covered so they know where to bill
Health insurance does not pay for cosmetic surgery. Money only.
I don't know of any health insurance that will pay for cosmetic surgery. Sorry.

That's just a standard form.

Ignore it or put none
No, if you have the money you will be self paying, generally, Ins, doesn't cover cosmetic surgery anyway.
Health insurance usually doesn't cover cosmetic surgery, unless the cosmetic surgery is used to correct a medical problem. For example, the surgery to correct a deviated septum is the same as a cosmetic ';nose job';.
Yes, you can get cosmetic surgery without health insurance. Health insurance generally won't cover cosmetic surgery at all because it's not a medical problem. If you're getting cosmetic surgery because you suffered severe burns or had a mastectomy, insurance may cover those types of situations.
Health insurance doesn't over cosmetic procedures unless they are life threatening, and even then, there is limited coverage on it.

Forms ask for such information, because it is the medical law to ask for those rare cases and it is a standard procedure.
